Holiday Digital Song Sales and Holiday 100 (2010-2022)

2010 saw one more big change in how Christmas music was charted. Billboard introduced both the Holiday 100, which allowed for a broader breakdown of popular Christmas songs, and the Holiday Digital Song Sales list, which tracked online purchases. By now, the time for Christmas music started as early as October, following the trends in retail and television programming.
