Long Story Short

There is so much that can be said about Taylor Swift, but the most important element of her career is and always will be her music. She pours her heart and soul into each album, and listening to them in order is a good way to learn her full story.

Every Taylor Swift Album

Until recently, Taylor Swift had a habit of releasing new albums every two years. However, after the Covid-19 pandemic began, her output increased drastically, with two of her most-celebrated albums coming out in the same year.

Her original albums include:

  • Taylor Swift (2006)
  • Fearless (2008)
  • Speak Now (2010)
  • Red (2012)
  • 1989 (2014)
  • Reputation (2017)
  • Lover (2019)
  • Folklore (2020)
  • Evermore (2020)
  • Midnights (2022)

After the rights to Swift's first six albums were purchased by Scooter Braun, Swift became more zealous to truly own the music she had written and performed. On the advice of Kelly Clarkson (who she sends flowers to every time), she began re-recording her albums.

The re-recorded albums, called "Taylor's Version," include all of the original songs, as well as vault tracks, which were left off the albums when they were first released. At this time, Swift has released the following re-recorded albums:

  • Fearless (Taylor's Version) - 2021
  • Red (Taylor's Version) - 2021
  • Speak Now (Taylor's Version) - 2023
  • 1989 (Taylor's Version) - 2023
